The term Ultra-Processed Food has moved mainstream into the consumer mindset, for better and worse. It’s a controversial topic that’s become politicised by some groups, while the food industry has strongly pushed back against badging all UPFs as bad, arguing it’s a far more complex subject than it might initially appear.
