Pescatech, a leading distributor of international cleaning solutions for the food-beverage industries has launched Vikan brushware in PINK! Vikan now offers more cleaning tools in more colours than any other competitive manufacturer.

Already available in eight colours, the innovative colour-coded, HACCCP-compliant tool range provides a pragmatic approach to efficient, hygienic cleaning and reduces the chances of cross contamination, while taking into account the harsh conditions found in food-beverage production plants. 

The system is an effective and intuitive visual coding specially developed to support HACCP objectives by delivering enhanced levels of cleanliness with minimum efforts, even where language barriers may exist. The brush and tool components are resistant to the solvents, chemicals and high temperatures required for disinfection.

Vikan products meet the criteria on brushware when it comes to implementing HACCP:

Physical hazards – no lose parts (nuts, bolts, screws, lose bristle) to be used, wooden brooms can splinter and can cause a risk.
Chemical hazards – no chlorine based products to be used – PVC handles or backs, no wooden products to be used, no use of carbon steel products that could rust. No chlorine-based paint on products to be used.
Biological hazards – no products to be used that to cause the risk of living organisms to mutate or grow in product.
Cross contamination – same brushware not to be used in various areas.
