Givaudan renames its flavour division as taste & wellbeing

Givaudan, the No 1 global flavour house, has announced that it is changing the name and positioning of its flavour division to reflect its expanded product offering.

The flavour division will become Taste & Wellbeing with immediate effect, to better reflect the company’s growing interest in overall health – a portfolio which encompasses wellbeing and nutritional focused-solutions.

“Over the past five years, we have expanded our portfolio in a significant way, complementing our industry-leading flavour and taste capabilities with an outstanding offer of natural functional and nutritional solutions,” said Louie D’Amico, president Taste & Wellbeing.

“The new name captures this expanded portfolio and the value we bring to customers by going beyond great taste, to create more complete future-facing food experiences.”

The new name is aligned with Givaudan’s 2025 strategy, which sets out the company’s objective to continue expanding beyond its current portfolio of flavours and fragrances, as well as naturals and delivery systems, into nutrition, food ingredients and beauty.

Givaudan has integrated 16 acquisitions since 2014, including US-based Ungerer & Company, Vietnamese flavours firm Golden Frog and a 40% stake in French ingredients producer Naturex,
