14 Nov 2021 SAAFoST lecture: Hear it from Eskom’s André de Ruyter

What a coup for SAAFoST! It has announced that the brave man in charge of SA’s beleaguered Eskom will be addressing its Annual Custodian Lecture.

Says the SAAFoST announcement: “We are thrilled to have André de Ruyter (GCE of Eskom) addressing our Custodian members. Considering that electricity affects everyone in the food industry, we have decided to make the event available on-line only for non-Custodian SAAFoST members as well as non-members at a small fee, ie R100 for SAAFoST members and R300 for non-members.

De Ruyter’s talk is titled: “The future of energy generation in South Africa”

André de Ruyter is currently the Eskom Holdings Group Chief Executive (GCE) overseeing a 100% State owned company of over 40 000 employees, responsible for providing over 95% of South Africa’s electricity needs and approximately 45% of the electricity used across Africa.
