31 Oct 2016 SAAFoST Congress 2017: Save the date!
The SA food-drinks industries’ most significant event of 2017: the 22nd SAAFoST Biennial International Congress and Exhibition, will be taking place next September in Cape Town.
To be held from 3-6 September 2017 at the brand new Century City Convention Centre, the theme, “A hunger for change: innovations, solutions and emerging technologies”, will explore solutions to the many challenges faced by food professionals when providing a sustainable supply of safe, satisfying and healthy food.

Trade exhibition:
A trade exhibition will also be held, allowing exhibitors to showcase new products and services.

Abstract submissions open!
The Scientific Programme Committee is pleased to invite delegates to submit their contribution to the congress.
The Congress theme, “A hunger for change: innovations, solutions and emerging technologies” highlights some of the global food science related challenges and the need for different approaches to solving them.
Two main themes, to some extent linked, will form the focus to tie together all the supporting and crucial aspects of food science.
These two core themes are, firstly around food, nutrition and health and a consumer focus (marketing, information, education, trends, the role of media and pseudoscience) and secondly, the fact that all these demands have to be met while ensuring sustainability of the food supply, the environment, resources and a growing world population that needs to be fed nutritiously.
