Hundreds of SA food and beverage industrialists are expected to gather in Durban in early spring for SAAFoST’s biennial congress and expo.
Taking place at the Southern Sun Elangeni and Maharani Hotel in Durban, KZN, from Monday 7- 9 September 2015 (registration starts on Sunday 6 September), this event’s theme is “Growing Food Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future.”
Some key speakers confirmed:
- Nigel Sunley (Food safety versus nutrition – are the priorities right?)
- Luis Fernandez (Innovation to grow: development of nutritious food formulations with consumer acceptability)
- Professor Colin Dennis (FutureFood 2050: A new vision on the science of food)
- Dr Hongda Chen (Advances in nanotechnology for food applications towards sustainable food systems).
