No link yet between deaths and our products, says Tiger Brands CEO
Tiger Brands CEO, Lawrence MacDougall, says there is no direct link at this moment between the deaths of 180 people infected with the listeriosis outbreak and the products from its Enterprise subsidiary.
Consumer journalist Wendy Knowler says the company’s statement will not play well to public sentiment.
It is creating a lot of confusion because yesterday in the press conference, the health minister said thanks to whole genome sequencing, which is like a DNA finger print for this bacteria, we found it in the kids that got ill after a polony sandwich we found it in a plant.
