New speciality ingredients player opens SA doors
German chemicals distribution giant, Brenntag, has opened shop in South Africa with the official formation of Brenntag South Africa.
This development, officially launched on October 1, 2017, follows the merger of the following companies Lionheart, Plastichem, Multilube and Warren Chem Specialities.
The business includes chemical distribution and services in Life Science (food, nutrition, pharma and personal care), Material Science (plastics, rubbers, polymers and lubricants) as well as Industrial Sales and Services.

Brenntag South Africa says it is now one of the leading chemical distributors for specialty chemicals in the southern African region. The new company has about 180 employees and locations in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban.
