In what appears to be an attempt by Tiger Brands to leverage the functional food space currently claimed by high-flying cereal competitor, FutureLife, SA’s largest food company has launched Jungle Ultra cereals and porridges, said to offer “the ultimate in a healthy breakfast”.
The new range of oats-based breakfast cereals, says Tiger Brands, is “packed with vitamins and minerals, omegas and proteins and 19 amino acids. They contain all the natural energy found in oats, with no trans fats. The Ultra Crunchy Cereal is wheat free, and the instant oat porridge can be prepared as a delicious smoothie”.
Jungle Ultra cereals and porridges contain an optimal mix of vitamins, omegas and proteins such as:
