As South Africa’s blueberry industry has exploded – so has the need for more efficient processing. Enter the Elifab Berry class optical sorter…

This is an impressive machine when in full production, as pictured here in a new local installation, gently grading and packing a whopping four tons of berries an hour, detecting weight, size, colour and external quality.

Elifab is a specialist Spanish tech company that has developed grading solutions for small fruit ie blueberries, cherries and cherry tomatoes.
