Since the Department of Health announced that Cannabidiol (CBD) can be sold legally, the sale of CBD-infused beverages, soaps, oils and even food has exploded onto the market.

Speaker profile: Janet Tomkow-Coetzer

Janet Tomkow-Coetzer holds degrees in biotechnology and law and is an admitted patent attorney, and a practitioner with Hahn & Hahn.

She is involved with Consumer and Food Law and deals with legislative issues around food and consumer protection, labelling of food products, product liability, resolution of disputes in the supply chain as well as technology law in general.

Janet is also involved in litigation of patents as well as patent applications throughout Africa.
