Ceres enters the cordial market

Breaking out of its traditional premium market position, Ceres has entered new territory with the launch of its new Ceres Fruit Squash range. This development by the Pioneer Foods’ company is perhaps indicative of the economic times; Ceres Fruit Squash offers a more affordable product for consumers under the Ceres brand name.

A company press release says: “The launch of this range was based on extensive research conducted in early 2010 and will further strengthen the renowned Ceres brand name in the minds of a wider consumer base. The Ceres Squash Range will focus on a trusted brand name, quality ingredients from the Ceres Valley that have been enriched with vitamins at an affordable price.”

New Ceres Squash is available in Available in four popular flavours: Orange, Mango, Tropical and Granadilla variants. Each 1,75 litre bottle makes seen litres of fruit squash, containing 6% fruit juice when diluted. Ceres Fruit Squash is also enriched with Vitamins A, B1 and B6.

According to Michelle van Schalkwyk, Juices Marketing Manager, Ceres is positioned as a premium and trusted brand. “Ceres has always been globally synonymous with producing the finest quality fruit juice. We continuously aim to improve our consumer offering with innovative product development and with the launch of Ceres Fruit Squash, we are now also able to offer a wider footprint of consumers a top-quality product. The addition of essential vitamins will further strengthen our brand offering and offer great value for money.”

Ceres Fruit Squash is available in selected stores at a recommended retail selling price of R19,99 per 1.75 litre PET bottle. The distinctive packaging was designed by LiquidLab.
