Tetra Pak acquires SA’s Chaswill Process Technology

Announcing an acquisition that will strengthen its ability to offer solutions for food production, Tetra Pak has bought Chaswill Process Technology, a leading process engineering company, based in Cape Town, with experience in food and beverage production.

The acquisition, says the Swedish food processing and packaging solutions giant, adds expertise in engineering, automation and project execution resources and thereby supports Tetra Pak’s growth ambition in the region, its ability in providing customers with complete production solutions for food production and its long term commitment to making food safe and available, everywhere.

“The acquisition will enable Tetra Pak to better serve its customers within the market segments dairy, beverage, prepared food, ice cream and cheese. This acquisition and integration of resources will help us strengthen and accelerate the growth of our business in South Africa and sub-Sahara Africa,” said Tim High, President Tetra Pak Processing Systems.

The operation will remain in Cape Town and work under the name of Tetra Pak Chaswill.
