Premium new takes on macadamias

Premier Nut, a long-time leading macadamia producer in the Hazyview area, has launched a collection of value-added products….

  • Sutton Pressed – Cold-pressed macadamia nut oil, paying homage to the founder of the company, Alan Sutton. It is described thus: “With a sublime texture, rich, nutty taste and a smoke point that exceeds that of olive oil, Sutton Pressed is your new go to cooking oil in the kitchen.”
  • MacaPaste – This luscious and creamy roasted macadamia nut paste is a versatile ingredient that “effortlessly transforms ordinary recipes into extraordinary culinary creations”. It can be added an an ingredient to sweet and savoury dishes, or enjoyed as a spread or a dip.
  • Snackadamia – Gourmet roasted macadamia kernels, with variations including salted, spicy, and Italian herb. “These premium grade kernels are meticulously roasted allowing just the right amount of caramelization to bring out the rich buttery flavour of macadamias, and flavoured with original blends made especially for the brand” notes the PR.

Premier Nut recently commissioned a state-of-the-art facility, sited on one of its farms, where all manufacturing and packaging takes place.

“This strategic move places the company at the literal roots of its creation, overseeing the entire vertical supply chain from farm to fork,” notes newly appointed MD, Emma Parsons, whose amibition is to “position Premier Nut as the quintessential purveyor of top-tier macadamia delights on the global stage”.

Sutton Pressed, MacaPaste, and Snackadamia, have officially made their debut on the shelves of retailers in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and KwaZulu-Natal.
