10 Dec New Black Cat peanut butter variants

Black Cat is an iconic South African food brand, associated with quality, taste and fun since 1926. The brand moved into the confectionery arena a few years ago – and now the latest iteration is back on the spreads shelf with two exciting new Black Cat flavours. [Click pic to enlarge]

The two new variants are Chocolate Peanut Butter with Choc Chip and Caramel Flavoured Peanut Butter with Caramel Chip.

“As a core brand within the Tiger Brands stable, it is imperative that Black Cat continues to innovate so as to remain relevant and to appeal to the core target market, and also retain the heritage built over the years. Peanut Butter is seen as a healthy offering, a spread that offers energy,” says a Tiger press release.

These two new flavours are available at selected retailers and should sell at between R26.99 – R29.99 – a slight premium to Black Cat smooth and crunchy peanut butter.

Black Cat was voted No 1 in spreads category in Top 10 SA Icon Brands, for 2013/2014 by TGI.
