30 Mar 2026 AgroPro Africa 2028 launched – will be part of Propak Africa
A new trade show is coming to SA’s events calendar: AgroPro Africa 2028, a dedicated platform for the continent’s food, beverage, and pulp and paper processing industries.
AgroPro Africa has been created to meet rising demand for better processing tech, more sustainable production, and stronger regional supply chains — all areas where African manufacturers are hungry for solutions.
The show will run alongside Propak Africa at Nasrec in Jo’burg, the long‑established triennial packaging, plastics, printing and labelling expo.
Together, the two events aim to give industry players a more complete view of the full value chain, from raw materials to finished goods.
Food and beverage processing remains one of Africa’s biggest and fastest‑growing manufacturing sectors. It supports everything from food security and rural jobs to export growth. South Africa’s own value chain is well developed, turning agricultural outputs into products for local and international markets.
Pulp and paper processing plays a similarly important role. It supplies essential packaging, hygiene and fibre‑based products — and as Africa shifts toward circular, low‑plastic economies, this sector is becoming even more relevant. SA’s mature pulp and paper industry already supports thousands of jobs and feeds into agro‑processing, printing and consumer goods.
AgroPro Africa positions itself right at the intersection of these two influential sectors.

What visitors and exhibitors can expect
According to Montgomery Group Africa, the organiser, the expo will bring together the entire processing value chain — raw materials, primary and secondary processing, packaging and labelling, logistics, waste management, sustainability, R&D, technology, and consulting.
Exhibitors will be able to connect with manufacturers, processors, retailers, hospitality buyers, packaging specialists and other decision‑makers. Visitors can expect:
- New processing technologies
- Live demos and product launches
- Workshops and seminars
- Strong networking opportunities
- Access to both local and international suppliers
In short: a practical, business‑focused platform for anyone involved in Africa’s processing industries.
