US: Pringles debuts on-trend, new style snacks
New to America’s heaving snack aisles are Pringles Loud, a line-up of boldly flavoured, very crunchy new crisps with a corn, grain and vegetable-bases.
The new on-trend range within the Kellogg’s-owned brand is available in five varieties, including spicy queso, with melted cheese and peppers; fiery chilli lime, with spicy tomato, a splash of lime and ‘delicious heat’; plus salsa fiesta.
The range will be completed by two grain and vegetable-based crisps: mighty margherita pizza, which is layered with pizza-inspired ingredients such as tomato, basil and mozzarella; and super cheesy Italian, which combines parmesan and herbs.
The brand is hoping that, aside from their heightened flavour, Pringles Loud’s crunchy texture will appeal to consumers.
“We’re excited to introduce Pringles Loud to all the snack rebels out there,” said Kurt Simon, director of marketing for Pringles. “Fans craving a little food adventure are sure to love the Loud crunch and flavour.”
The Pringles Loud line-up has debuted in sleek black packaging and will be available from retailers across the US from this month.
