SPAR and Crown National leverage Super 15 rugby fever
Three of South Africa’s Super 15 rugby teams have launched a range of official licensed meat products, exclusive to SPAR Supermarkets, and developed in conjunction with spice giant, Crown National.
The Vodacom Blue Bulls, MTN Lions and Toyota Cheetas and Spar Supermarkets have come up with a South African first for rugby supporters – a variety of products to accompany another South African favourite, the braai, and incorporating branded spice-specific boerewors, burger patties, spare ribs and marinade.
As part of the marketing campaign, an official fan tasting and voting competition was initiated to select a favourite flavour out of two options, with tastings conducted at several SPAR stores throughout the country.
The range has been available in selected SPAR stores throughout Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and the Free State from late February.
