Ceres joins 2010 festivities with flavours of South Africa

Ceres, South Africa’s premium fruit juice brand, has launched a limited edition Flavours of South Africa variant that combines two uniquely home-grown flavours –  Marula and Rooibos – to join in the 2010 soccer festivities.

This refreshing new flavour aims to evoke national pride and offer foreigners a unique taste of South Africa. Marulas, which grow in the north east of the country, are very high in Vitamin C while naturally caffeine-free rooibos, grown in the Cederberg region of the Western Cape, is a powerful antioxidant full of vital minerals, making it very popular with health-conscious consumers. The limited edition-themed packaging proudly sports the South African flag to catch the eye of consumers and stand out on shelf.

To further generate excitement and customer interaction, Ceres have included an on-pack sms competition where consumers can win R1 million worth of instant prizes, including shopping and spa vouchers and a 5-star South African holiday.  

‘Ceres Fruit Juice is proud to be South African and to share our pride with the thousands of 2010 visitors, we wanted to “show off” our local flavours and get them excited about our brand and product offering while they are here,’ says Connie Engelbrecht, Ceres brand manager.

The packaging was designed by Cape Town-based brand activation agency, 34.
