Entré R3287! New draft labelling regulations published for comment

The Department of Health has released R3287 – the corrected Regulations Relating to the Labelling and Advertising of Foodstuffs for comment.

This comes more than two months after the incorrect version of the draft (R2986) was published. The correct version has been named R3287.

Important to note that the publication of the guidelines is still awaited and that the deadline for comments to the Department has been extended to 14 July 2023.

FACTS SA notes, “Our regulatory team are working through this version to see how it differs to R2986 and will soon share the date of when we will be hosting a workshop where we will be covering the updates and systematically running through the full draft.”
