08 Nov 20 FUTURELIFE tweaks its cereal/probiotic combo

FUTURELIFE, SA’s well-known functional food brand, has revamped its FUTURELIFE BRAN FLAKES with HOWARU Premium Probiotics, by changing the latter’s delivery of from powder sachets to capsules.

“In 2016 FUTURELIFE launched BRAN FLAKES with Probiotic Sachets with great success. We are, however, always on the lookout for new ways to improve and deliver on our promises to our customers,” says Angela Leach, the head dietitian for FUTURELIFE.

“And so, when a recent study showed that fans of the product would prefer to take their probiotic as a capsule, we jumped at the opportunity. When our customers speak, we listen!”

Leach adds that the brand was built on a vision to improve the lives of South African families through “Smart Nutrition”, and the new launch is testament to that commitment.

The combination of high fibre cereal and probiotics is designed to support the everyday functioning of the gut, she explains: “Probiotics restore the balance of gut flora and improve the health of the digestive system while the fibre in FUTURELIFE BRAN FLAKES helps clean your gut by supporting the movement of undigested food through your digestive system.”

In addition to being high in dietary fibre, the FLAKES are low in saturated fat with only 0.2 g per serving and contain only 0.9 g of total fat per serving. They are high in carbohydrates, energy and  a great source of 12 vitamins (Vitamin A, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin B12, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E and Biotin) and lastly, a source of protein.
